Keynote speakingand structured teaching

Keynote and corporate speaking on joint preservation, regenerative orthopaedics, AI in movement medicine and the recovery and longevity layer. Plus an active postgraduate and undergraduate teaching commitment through the University of Lincoln and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Professor Paul Lee, speaking and teaching

Keynote topics

Six core talks

Each talk has a clinical version (for surgical, sports-medicine and healthcare audiences) and a public version (for corporate, longevity and patient-facing audiences). The framing is tuned to the brief; the underlying evidence base is the same.

Talk 01

The Future of Joint Preservation

Why the next generation of orthopaedic care will be defined by what is preserved, not by what is replaced; how cartilage, ligament and meniscus work together to keep a joint alive; the evidence base behind the preservation pathway.

Best fit: Surgeons, physiotherapists, sports physicians, healthcare audiences

Talk 02

Regenerative Orthopaedics: Hype, Hope and Evidence

Where the regenerative-medicine field actually is, separated from the marketing language around it. PRP, stem cells, fat-derived therapies and hydrogels, evaluated on the published evidence and the clinical decisions they enable.

Best fit: Clinicians, scientists, regulators, life-sciences investors

Talk 03

Why Recovery Is the Missing System in Modern Medicine

Recovery is not a phase of treatment; it is a system. How prehab, sleep, structured progression and longevity-grade thinking shift outcomes after surgery and injury, and why the absence of a recovery system is a hidden patient-safety issue.

Best fit: Surgeons, physiotherapists, performance leads, healthcare strategy

Talk 04

AI, Imaging and the Future of Movement Medicine

How AI motion capture, AI-driven MRI and digital consent reshape what movement medicine can measure, decide and consent to. Drawn from work at MAI Motion, onMRI and Consent Plus, with the engineering grounding behind each.

Best fit: Clinicians, technologists, medtech founders, healthcare boards

Talk 05

From Replacement to Preservation: Rethinking Orthopaedic Decision-Making

A practical talk on the decision tree behind joint preservation; how to know when preservation is the right answer and when replacement is the right answer; the framework that runs through Professor Lee’s clinical practice.

Best fit: Orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians, GPs, referrer audiences

Talk 06

Regeneration Made Simple and Accessible

A public-facing version of the regenerative-orthopaedics story, written for non-clinical audiences. The OBE-track public talk: what regeneration is, what it is not, and how to think about a joint with a future.

Best fit: Public-health audiences, corporate audiences, longevity events

Sports therapy lectures at the School of Sports, University of Lincoln, since 2018; a structured undergraduate teaching commitment running in parallel with the clinical work.

Postgraduate lecture series (international)

Invited postgraduate lectures across Europe, Asia and North America: knee mechanics and pathology, cartilage regeneration, sports surgery, hip replacement, regenerative medicine. Drawn from the long-form lecture series documented in the academic record.

Symposium leadership

Organised and chaired the MSK Regeneration 2023 symposium. Conference chair work is offered as part of the speaking and teaching pathway.
