What it is
Consent Plus is the digital surgical consent platform that won The Health Foundation Innovation Award and was adopted nationally. It is the institutional answer to a consent process that had previously been treated as a paperwork problem rather than a clinical-decision problem.
The research line behind it
Consent Plus is supported by a published cost-consequence analysis of e-learning videos supplementing the consent process in lower-limb arthroplasty (Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 2023), and is part of the wider consent and clinical-pathway design theme in the published academic record.
